The 2020OCS · ISRAEL ROUNDTABLE, organized by China Israel Exchange/China Israel jizhi, was successfully held at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center.
2020 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 22nd Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "2020 OCS") is sponsored by Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of China) and Guangzhou Municipal Government.

Guangzhou is creating conditions to vigorously promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading. The demand for high-quality development will bring more opportunities for cooperation. Israel has a well-developed venture capital system and mature technology transfer mechanism, and has world-class R&D and service capabilities in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, life sciences, clean energy, and modern agriculture.
In recent years, Guangzhou and Israel have carried out close scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation. The former chief scientist of Israel, Dr. Suger Kilitman, established the Sino-Israel Bio-Industry Fund in cooperation with Guangzhou, which introduced a large number of leading Israeli biomedical companies. Dr. Suger was awarded the "Honorary Citizen" by Guangzhou. In January this year, GAC New Energy's pure electric vehicle GE3 was shipped to Israel by sea. It was GAC Group's first vehicle to enter the Israeli market, marking the first export of GAC Group's electric vehicle to the developed countries and opening a new era of electric vehicle export.
I sincerely hope that Guangdong and Israel will strengthen mutual trust and exchanges, deepen cooperative relations, set a model for Guangzhou and Israel to carry out innovative cooperation, and play a greater role for Guangzhou to build an international scientific and technological innovation center.
Chinese students studying in Israel are mainly distributed in 7 universities in Israel, scientific research institutes and medical institutions in Israel. Up to now, more than 2,000 Israel returned Chinese scholars have returned to China for work, and many have become leaders in their profession.
Israel Returned Chinese Scholars Association, and Great Bay Area Brand was announced opening in 2020OCS · ISRAEL ROUNDTABLE. More talents who have returned from Israel will be brought together in the Greater Bay Area in the future.
The theme of 2020OCS · ISRAEL ROUNDTABLE is Blending Talents for Innovation. To discuss talents, innovation and development from different roles, multi-perspective, multi-filed and multi-level, including policy, technology, investment, business models, etc.
